Their new album "Natural Extintions" explores the inability of human beings to preserve their innocence and bond with nature during their existence, and relating the inevitable destiny of every human being to inhibit, suppress and lose, along his life, some of the most pure and atavistic aspects of their own soul in order to adapt and live with the hostile environment that surrounds him. “Natural Extinctions” weaves these themes throughout to explore our lost innocence and repressed symbiosis with nature and each other. Emerging in the begining of 2016, the band released its first EP on through Everlasting Spew Records, receiving many praises from the worldwide press and stream coverage by websites such as Metal Hammer, No Clean Singing and Cvlt Nation. GAEREA have turned the genre of Black Metal on its head, as shown on their first full length album "Unsettling Whispers", released in 2018 via Transcending Obscurity Records. While most rehash the classic sound, this Portuguese band take it forward and seamlessly integrate influences from other genres like Hardcore and Sludge.
